Part of Autumn 2024 Mini Highland Calves (timed auction by Cyrus Ridge Farm)

High bid $4,550.00

Eddy is chondro positive and is one of my favorite bulls this fall season. He has the best shaped head, and beautiful face! Totally obsessed! He is out of Cyrus and is over 93% Scottish Highland!!  He is yellow in color and carries the wild type gene. He is definitely a special little dude, who would make a great addition to any farm!   Calf Info Name: Eddy of Cyrus Ridge Tag #: 71 BD1 Chondro Gene Carrier: Positive Beta Casein Milk Protein: A1/A2 Birth Height: 21” Birth Weight: 34# Breed: Mini Highland Breed Percentage: 93.75 Scottish Highland, 6.25% Irish Dexter Color: Yellow Color Breakdown: Dh/N One copy of the PMEL17-delTTC dilution variant. Coat color is gray or pale-red. MC1R (EXTENSION) E+/e Wild type, carrier of recessive red Date of Birth: 08.22.24  Horned Status: Horned Sex: Male- Intact with the option to castrate IMCBR Registration #: 30338 - IMCBR   Eddie does carry the crop ear genetic. It is slightly noticeable, and likely won't show when his full coat is in. Crop ear is only cosmetic and does not effect the cow in any way. She has many other redeeming qualities, however, you would not want to breed two carriers together.   Dam Info Name: Sarah of Cyrus Ridge Breed: Mini Scottish Highland Percentage: 100% Scottish Highland Reg Height: 42.5" Chondro Carrier: No IMCBR Registration #: 7855 - MCBR   Sire Info Sire: Cyrus Of Cyrus Ridge Breed: Mini Scottish Highland Percentage: 82.5% Scottish Highland, 12.5% Irish Dexter 3 Year Registered Height: 38" Chondro Carrier: Yes Registration #: 7856 - MCBR   Cyrus Ridge Farm makes no claims or guarantees as to the mature height of this animal. While we can all make an educated guess based on averages of the parents, anyone who tells you they can accurately predict the mature height of a calf is either naive or lying. Breed percentage is believed to be accurate, however there is no breed purity dna testing available in the U.S.   For more info and photos of Eddie's parents please visit Our Website Our Facebook Page: Cyrus Ridge Farm
